There were only two trucks that we impounded that I would consider safe to be on the road, and they were both 2026 models. The other trucks were scary. It's not like a little thing here or there, they were absolute trash.

 

And yet every Road Check this forum is awash in posts about "over regulation" and "it's about revenue".

Until the math says that running derelict equipment is a losing proposition nothing is going to change.

Substituting blitzes for regular enforcement is ineffective. Having regular enforcement supplemented by blitzes is highly effective. Holding those who profit accountable is most effective.

 

Wonder how many of those impounded trucks will never get picked up from your yard?

 

Say your license was suddenly downgraded to a class D license effective 30 days from now, but tomorrow you got pulled into a weigh station and arrested for driving on an illegal license, which was used as justification to revoke your citizenship.
