Hey there newbies, if youre looking for some great industry content to learn about all things trucking, check out radio nemo on YouTube, give them a subscribe and dig in. Theyre live m-f 7a-11a and hundreds of curated segments to listen anytime you want to. Theres also a live chat on the YouTube broadcast during the live shows, with many experienced drivers to chat with. Dave nemo has been in trucking radio for over 50 years. Good people over there. All free, and theyre on most all streaming platforms as well. There's plenty of non trucking content there too from history to music to art and entertainment.

I'm in the trucking industry, nearing 17 years and I have no idea who Dave Nemo is. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I saw something about YouTube. Almost every YouTuber I’ve ever seen post on TTR is some idiot who thinks his way is best. That doesn’t work.

For example, every year there’s a thread on winter driving. tire chains and mountain driving. Driving through a blizzard in Indiana isn’t the same as driving through a blizzard in Montana. Therefore, what works best in Indiana will not necessarily be what’s best in Montana. What works on the big road isn’t the best for the 2 lane. But you will have a person who runs a specific area, a specific road, a specific tire, a specific way of securing a load, giving out his “best” advice. When you disagree what’s best, he and his fanboys go on the attack.

Yeah, I tend to stay away from all of that and rely on what I learn from experience. Sometimes I learn from other drivers. Other times it's trial and error. You're definitely right, though. Trucking is so scenario based its crazy. Even something like tires on a truck could impact winter driving in certain parts of the country/continent.
