Same here, I'm keeping my expectations low for the remainder of the year and til about February. The check i have coming for the miles I ran this week will be so ugly plastic surgery can't fix it. Lol I basically ran a bunch of short hauls this week. I'm relaxing at the yard til tomorrow. You gotta nice break at home for real!

What ya up to? I'm in Cuba Mo, camped out. Gotta finish run to Bonham, Tx tomorrow. Deliver Monday and head home. Got a mid week appt on my birthday. Leave back out Thursday or Friday an back home for Christmas. We're starting to look into buying our own truck. Been looking, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Found a nice 579 Pete with only 200,000 on it's new motor. Be talking to the dealer about it next week. Gotta make sure it's gonna be light enough for hopper bottom work.

Nice!!! You going for your own authority or are you leasing on to your boss's company? That truck is definitely in its infancy. I'm camped out in Erlanger, KY with a Coke load. It is a cold one tonight, but for some reason, the cold breeze coming in with the sleeper window feels good with APU on low heat. Tomorrow, I gotta deadhead to Dunkirk, IN for the backhaul. Picking up a load of glass jars I think. Seems weird to haul glass in a reefer for some reason.

    Lonesome and Knucklehead Thank this.

I had a couple day off at the yard. Got moving that Saturday in that snow storm. That was an adventure. They give you some tea? They gave me a gallon jug once, but the one in South Carolina never skips out on samples lol.

    Friend and Knucklehead Thank this.

I live right up the road from Dunkirk. I used to shuttle glass canning jars from Anchor Glass in Winchester, Indiana to a warehouse in Muncie, Indiana.
