Reminds me of the 64 oz steak a local steakhouse offers- if you eat it all it's free.. I managed to get it and the baked potato plus 2 beers down. I won't be doing that again anytime soon.

Reminds me of a truck stop I used to go to with my dad in Michigan, they made huge sandwiches and stuff, can't remember the name of it, we used to get huge ice cream sundaes that were so big that 3 of us couldn't eat the whole thing. Does anyone know the place I am talking about, I think it was near either Flint or Lansing, I used to go there a lot when I was a kid.

You are talking about Tony's in birch run michigan. I think they make their blt's with a pound of bacon.

It's hilarious. Other parts of the world starve and we have food so big that it's only around for the challenge of eating it all. lol

I remember when I was a kid, my brother (7 years older than me) and one of his buddies took me to a bar somewhere out on E. Colfax in Denver. Not to drink, but to have an ice cream sundae. That thing was huge. The three of us together could not finish it, and I ended up with a bellyache from trying!:biggrin_2552:

Yeah, about a pound... because cooks at Tony's don't have time for such trivial things as

    - measuring product
    - removing egg shells
    - buttering bread
    - properly coating stuff (pork chops, french toast, etc..)

They server humongous portions - of poorly cooked food.

That's always the way. Anyone near good pizza can tell you a large is always way better tasting than a sheet. When they go big, they go cheap.
