Fifth wheel won’t release (with photos)

Hard to tell from the pics and all the grease,but it looks like the pin jumped the trigger.

 

Glad you got it, man, thanks for the magnitude of how out of the loop I am, 2 LEVERS?? I had trouble with the one lever you turned. Some things I learned, sometimes setting the trailer brakes and not the tractor, and backing up just a bit, then set the truck brakes, takes pressure off worn parts, also, once, pulled the lever, wouldn't unhook. Old timer came up and said, "straighten the truck out",,,WHA? Straighten the truck, you are a little crooked", got it in perfect line,ka-#####,,,

 

Yeah! Some truck require kid gloves for the simplest of things. Mine doesn’t like to release the fifth wheel with no weight on it. So I always make sure I pull the levers before do so.

it’s a new to you truck so it will take some time to get the little things worked out. Make notes for the future…
