$8500 is decent, but on high side. Not worth more then that in pieces and not right era engine like it is. Cab overs are increasing in value so you might get lucky and find someone with deeper pockets willing to pay more but what you are asking is high side of the norm right now in that shape. It is in pieces and not considered to be a runner. In the I-H cabover world the Later models like that are still less desirable than the old Emeryvilles and Transtars are.

Well, I would hate to think that I could spend $1000 on four drive tires cause they’re 250 each. I could spend $1000 on having it towed here. I could spend another thousand dollars on the air ride suspension and another thousand dollars to have it welded
Another $2000 to buy the second motor plus the injectors which those aren’t free Plus the set of rod and main bearings and we haven’t even bought the cab over yet so what would you suggest it would be worth cause I’m dying to know?

I’m definitely not trying to rape anybody and I can put all the chrome back on if it makes somebody feel better, but I ain’t giving it away. I gotta have some of my money back.

$7500 is my bottom dollar it can sit here and rot for anything less
And as far as I’m concerned, that’s a steal!

I have a 1979 K100 with 350 BC1, 13 spd. All original complete. Before I parked it(bough a compliant truck) I dropped over 7k on the drivetrain. Back at that time I was only being offered 3-4K. I decided to hold on to it, I still have it parked here. Now I’ve heard there more valuable, will see. Mine is complete and it runs.

In the truck restoration world you well never get what you put into it unless you can sell at auction. The parts and pieces you have to buy to complete it are always gonna cost more individually then the whole unit put together. For example right now I have a complete ready to roll 1973 352-110 Pete with early Airleaf rears. It is minus an engine, but put batteries and shop air to it and everything works. It was originally a 1693 Cat, Rto12513. But both are mia. It is worth 10k low 15k high if running. A runnimg 1693 is going for a minimum of 25k these days. Most good ones i’ve seen are in the 45k range. That would be 45k i’d have to spend to get her sold for 15k because me buying that engine to get the truck running does not make it go up in sales value. Extra Chrome and accessories goodies don’t either.

I understand the why, and it looks clean. But, I was just looking today.

There's several decent running and driving similar in the 65-8500$ range.

Not saying yours isn't worth what you're asking, but a guy will have 2-4k$ in getting it home if he has to tow.

Good luck with it. If you were closer I'd come take a look.

Due to the whole carb conspiracy. Folks are buying vintage trucks out of commiefornia these days for a song. Friend of mine just drove back a 1984 FL cabover with a 3406A for 5k. Runs great and in great shape. They had to sell. Cali wouldn't even let them put historic vehicle plates on it according to seller. Sad.

There are a few eceptions with ultra rare parts that may make a vintage truck worth more at sale then others and this is one of them. 1955 Mack LT. NH220-743 Cummins. Paid 3k more then normal market price because of the exhaust manifolds. Ultra Rare. Ellis Dualex Manifolds. Turns an inline 6 Cummins. into a V6. They sound like an orchestra going thru the two sticks. IMG_3913.jpeg

I would put it back together cosmetically and make it a complete truck.
As it sits you are selling a parts truck and throwing in some extra parts.
