What if it Snows?

The real blessing here, is the fact that in this day and time, this many family members still care about each other enough to travel all over the country to be with one another. So many families around live closer to one another and cannot get along. Sad to admit but my extended family is in this group.

 

In say 1955 it would have been Knox Glass, out of Palestine, TX. Terminal in Jackson. MS had a stack of over 100 applications when Ira Trigg and myself were dissatisfied with Tom Riddell and went down from Canton to apply. Mulled it over and went back and settled down a while.

Those drivers wives' took them down to the terminal to go out wearing nice wedding rings and in winter, nice fur coats. For summer, they drove a current model convertible.
Delivered the fruit jars out and hauled anything you would put in the trailer back toward Jackson. Ran the little tilt cab White 3000's.

An old mans observation on a present situation in the news...

Lane Kiffin is a good coach. He nor any other one is worth paying 12 million$ + a year; when the schools they represent are raising tuition and soliciting more from alumni. Across the board; college and pros, it seems that there is a trend of players breaking laws and doing violence to others, and much is made of their "player status", as if that gives them a pass. There has been a failure to instill sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for others and most of all, for any self respect they should carry for themselves and their families.

Gonna comment here, just based on my personals belief's and many years of seeing life rollout it offerings and it's sometime cost's/correction's.
Were I in Kiffins position; I would consider the increased offer, decide on how my wife and family's concerns and happiness might be affected.

But you know; I would not stage the news circus nor the stalls/deal making, and the momentous 9 AM Sunday announcement of my decision.
Just seem kind of messing with mankind, detracting from all denominations religious services for my proclamation.
I just never considered myself that important..
