Completed 2 Years as an O/op running Schneider's Bulk load board.

When I signed on I had to provide a PTO on my transmission, they installed the rest.

    Linky here....

I didn't know, but apparently after two years, the hydraulic Ingersol Rand air compressor, and Blackmer Pump, and Headache rack are mine to keep, as well as any hose and fittings.

Kinda cool, that's expensive equipment. Now it's "kinda mine" if I take the truck to another authority.

To be fair, it's old style equipment that got replaced by the Onebox style compressor and pump on new tankers. But my air compressor puts out 30 PSI and my liquid pump hit 6 gpm, so, even tho it's not streamlined in a tiny box, my #### works so I'm keeping it.

SNBC puts the onebox style compressor and pump all-in-one one the frame rail now. They suck. I've notice Heniff and Ergon have gone to that also.

I don't have it in writing in a contract, what you do is take it into a Schneider shop and let them take out the tracking computers, and once they release it, it's your tractor. They are not interested in taking off all the Bulk mounted equipment.

Well...with all that said...one has to wonder -- where to, now?

You really should be able to go just about anywhere in the tanker world that you might want....

What kind of a liquid pump do you have that only pumps 6 gpm? That would take over 12 hours to unload 5000 gallons. Must have been some thick product. We used the old Roper pumps and they would do 140 gpm on normal liquids.

Sorry. It's a Blackmer 3" hydraulic pump. I meant to say 60 GPM. Which is just rated flow. I was just out there today turning it on and off, and injecting some PB Blaster into it, because I haven't run it in 2 months.

The longer I went without running it, the better I liked it.

Well, I started with Suburban Propane doing Local Propane work, went to Schneider doing Caustic work, then went to Kag doing Cryo work, then back to Schneider doing my own O/OP thing as a business.

I don't know what's next, probably ammonia, but that's the same as LPG. I don't want to get far into the gaseous world, you get stuck there.

Maybe flatbedding and heavy haul, but at 51 yoa old, that's a young mans game to learn

I'm not going anywhere in the Tanker world. And I could see why you'd ask.

Running out of NC, utilizing Schneider's discounts on Base plates, insurance, fuel card, parking locations, etc.

After all is said and done, it's a business. This truck is a tool.

Then I would have to buy a 407 tanker, wash it everytime, insurance would go

Best deal I can find without going full send and getting my own authority.
