IMG_0082.jpeg This looks like an automated message and not an actual person, though I could be mistaken. Do you really think the position was filled or is it just their way of saying no? I have no experience in tanker or hazmat, so I’m not surprised I didn’t get the job. I wonder if they posted the job on Indeed even though they weren’t actually hiring (I’ve heard of some companies doing that)? In any event, I’m sure this is a message no one on here is not used to seeing.

They probably get 5-50 applications for every driving position. It would be unusual to hire a box hauler into a fuel hauling position as his first tanker job. Food-grade tankers do that more often than HazMat/Fuel haulers. Typically the HazMat and fuel companies want 1 year of tanker first.

If they were desperate they would have called. That's how I think about if. Freight levels are down year over year.

At the end of the day, it's an IDK and ANDY situation. (I don't know, and neither do you) I generally believe such a note because the carrier is not obligated to send you a reply. If a carrier were required by rule to reply, and said carrier did not want to hire you for whatever reason, I could see them sending such a reply.

Whatever the reason; it's YOU they did not want. You want a REASON???? Why??? Get used to it; today 75% of all unsuccessful applicants don't even get a rejection notice!
