So I guess it's time for an update. I've applied to numerous places, and have been rejected for any number of reasons. Most places are turning me down due to my location, one for my tattoos, one because they want either recent experience or non at all (not a former driver). Melton came close but I would need to live 10 miles north of my current location. Cypress just completely ghosted me and wont tell me why. I started applying to van and refrigerated divisions with the same results. The only company that has even considered me is Western Express. I really don't want to go there, but it's starting to look like I have no choice. I have verifiable employment all the way back to 1994, no tickets in over 20 years. Don't drink, smoke, do drugs. I'm willing to be out weeks at a time. I'm not gonna lie, it's getting disheartening. I'm still planning to put my notice in at my job on January 5, so hopefully I get something before that.
New Old Driver, where do I go?

You are being whacked/ghosted....largely becuz:
- Your location is pretty undesirable for most carriers
- You lack any recent experience
- The CDL job market is generally pretty bad right now....especially for rookie drivers
