Thanks, but it is northern Alberta...some would not call that winning hahaha. But I was born and raised here, couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

 

I think I’m one of the few maritimers of my generation (47 y/old) who didn’t try to horn in your location! Montreal seized my full attention when moving west. That’s good living out there

 

Back when I was growing up and into my teens, we didn't have any newfies. Not one. I had a friend I grew up with from Fredricton NB and we called him Newf ever since he told us where he was from, like back in grade 5. Then in the 90's there were thousands of them, most all of them hard workin' mofo's and partied just as hard. You can imagine the #### show in those days where these boys all show up and start making ten grand a month as a labourer in the patch. Get them drinking and most of us couldn't understand wtf they were saying. But man, they were a lot of fun.

That's crazy lol. Promise I won't call you Newf heh heh. Was funny when the real newfies showed up, we'd call him Newf and their ears would perk up, then they'd question him and after finding out where he was from out east they'd say "bah, you're just a herring choker!" he would get mad and start swinging hahaha
