So…. They’ll either put you up at Hotel Holland (dorm room with a bed, tv and fridge with bathroom and shower access across the hall), or in your assigned truck. It’ll be assigned before you get there.
Ideally they want you to stay attached to the trailer on home time, however I had an agreement with a local tow yard and also a police impound lot to drop my wagon.
If you have a truck stop or any of the above, you’ll be good to go, just make sure to lock the doors, kingpin or glad hand (s).
Hope this helps you!!

Gotcha, okay I’ll have to check out truck parking club during home time then and be prepared.
I’m just stressing since I’ve never done orientation during winter in the snow. I don’t like chaining up, so im sure when I get there they will have me chain up immediately for the road test since I’m seeing snow.
just trying to get all my ducks in a row is all, I really appreciate your insight driver! -
I’m pretty certain you’re not gonna chain up during the road test there in Mapleton where their terminal is…fcfightermma Thanks this.

That would be nice lol I saw some road cams near the terminal in Fargo with some snow accumulation and went “######### of course” lol
fingers crossed! lolAttached Files:

You won’t be chaining up, unless YOU want to on the road. They won’t even send you out if the weather and roads are iffy. Like it is right now. You have nothing to worry about, except getting here to lovely Mapleton safely and all that.
Knucklehead, hope not dumb twucker, JohnBoy and 1 other person Thank this. -

Yeah not hard to find a place to park a whole rig within a few miles of most anywhere. When I lived in Bullhead City AZ 20 years ago I parked a Marten truck and trailer in several different places. First was a little pullout on the road behind the Walmart. Another Marten driver told me it wasn't safe because of the apartments and recommended a vacant lot next to the Moose Lodge. I parked there for a long time. He said his Lodge friends always thought he was in town!
When they added a new street behind our house I parked on the dirt back there for a while, but it violated the neighborhood association's rule about CMVs. Someone eventually complained, so then I tried parking in a dead end outside the entrance to our development. But that was too close to a house. Instead of leaving a little note on my windshield, the owner poured motor oil all over it. So then I resumed parking at the Moose Lodge. Pretty sure the vacant lot is still there. The Riverside Casino has free truck parking, but my house was about 20 minutes away.
