Thanks for the thoughts guys. I did find the big pieces in the web of the front structure after I pulled the bull gear.



I think the small piece I found in the pan was off the back of the bull gear. You can see where I assume those teeth got wedged in on the backside in multiple places, and caused multiple cracks through the gear.

Definitely really lucky. Having the catastrophic failure that was coming would have sucked in the places I run.

 

Needs HPEF for that exhaust....(Heart Pine Exhaust Fluid) DEF won't cut that...
But that rich black does turn them drivers.......

 

Saddest take on that is that there is considered any need to post any such signage.
Decency, self respect, and respect for others used to control that in immigrant culture.
Parents once instilled that level in there kids.... Mine did and I do not remember how,
but I #### well learned it well...

 

Those fingerprints look really familiar. I'm going to run in to the post office and see if they're still up. Depending on the reward, you will either be free as a bird or standing neck deep in sh it to a ten foot Indian. I'll let you know.
