Got to thinking it's really quite impressive how well this cab has held up, despite how flimsy it really is once the panels come off. 20 years of logging roads, zero cab suspension and most of the issues with it are simply due to Paccar's lack of using any sort of corrosion barrier between the steel and aluminum. I bet if they had used a plastic separator between the aluminum and steel parts the cab would still be fine.

Decided to re-skin the back wall completely. Looks like 14 gauge aluminum. Can't seem to find any replacement panels so I will have to do it from scratch. Haven't found a shop within reasonable distance that can roll a sheet nearly 5 feet wide. Thinking it might not be so difficult to do it myself using a length of pipe the correct radius and using the existing panel as a guide.

I’m in the same boat with this all aluminum ‘63 351 Pete cab I got last weekend. Doors and LH corner skin got donated to a ‘62 being painted this month. Body shop took what they needed and then called me to pick it up. They didn’t want to spend the time trying to roll a new one but spent 24 man hrs drilling out 100 rivets and trying to fit it on the other cab. Because they were all hand built back then all the rivet holes never matched exact from one cab to the next. So they worked a lot harder than they thought they would. Rolling a new one woulda been smarter. The cab still has the chassis number tag on the inside of firewall so a title can still be gotten.

Got the other door frame out. Chopped up some angle iron for the rear beam to tie the back wall and rear of the floor into. Said screw it, tearing it right down to nothing and starting fresh.

Well the cab now has a roughly 6 foot wide by 4 foot tall hole in the back. Only a dozen hucks left holding the the roof cap/cowl on and a dozen left holding the RH lower cowl panel on. Then it's cleaning rust, fixing the ghetto welds 20-something me did on the back frame years ago, welding on supports for the floor and fabricating an entire new rear skin from scratch.

Any ideas what sort of accessory may have utilized these 4 holes blanked out with the huck bolts? Wondering if KW may have had a behind the cab stack option since only the passenger side has these holes.
