Many thanks, explanation is good and the pics tell it all. Cattle must have changed tho. Ones I hauled crapped and urinated a lot. Since modern cattle don't, then I can see why the trailer is so clean and does not have 8 inches of pine shavings. Be hard to scoop out tho, with all then cross pieces in the floor. Miss a fruit backhaul out of FL.:rolleyes:

A few years back I read somewhere on here that has to do with said cattle being corn fed versus grass fed.

Grass fed will wreck a trailer in minutes. Another common practice is right before selling they really fill them up on a hot feed that makes them want water. The first 30 miles are the worst.

Video of a suicide nose in action. My first trailer was a 48ft slat side suicide nose and a full jail. Which you loaded last. Split the rear door and moved over to the high rail chute. Then of course unloaded it first. Moved over unloaded the tail and belly then folded the jail floor up and unloaded the top and nose. Lots a #### work deckin stocker calves back then
