Why would they? Pointing out that certain people are at the center of some recent high profile accidents is pretty tame compared to a lot of stuff on YouTube.

 

Because they're on the other team, politically. They like to project this disinterested, noble, image where they're doing their part in the fight against bias and misinformation...and blah blah blah, meanwhile they let Al Jazeera spam your feed with bogus.

 

Your feed is what you click on. When I go on YouTube it doesn’t suggest truck videos or political junk. I see videos that interest me based on the other channels I subscribe to that deal with the hobbies I have.

If you haven’t, I suggest reading The Chaos Machine when you have time. It’s pretty eye opening how YouTube and Facebook work and how quickly you can get sent down a rabbit hole. Once you know that it’s easier to keep stuff from coming up that doesn’t interest you. And you’ll also see that YouTube isn’t on the “other team”. They’ll do whatever needs done to get clicks and keep people on their platform.

 

Respectfully disagree. Right around October 2023 the ad spaces, not the videos themselves, were FULL of pro palestinian/Israeli atrocity content. Furthermore, more perfect union's borderline socialist content keeps finding its way into my feed even though I have deliberately right clicked it and told YouTube I'm not interested more than once. It'll be back a couple weeks later, not sure what to tell you. I will definitely check out that book, though.

 

I don't think that site was ever that popular. I do remember emailing Brett when I was in CDL school around 8 years ago after stumbling upon his site, and he helped me with some stuff.
