I have worked for two companies with driver facing cameras and didn't have an issue with, of course, as mentioned it depends on what they are monitoring. One company had a strict no phone policy, not even with a Bluetooth headset and they definitely watched for that and fired a driver who got sneaky with an ear bud.

I never hold my phone while driving so not worried about that, but if we will be getting flagged every time you reach down for a drink or similar then that is going too far for me.

Lots of other industries with constant employee surveillance. Imagine getting kicked out of a trucking company and getting blackballed over a camera related violation. Only to have the same happen at a fast food place. "Camera says you spent too long in the freezer. We're done.".

Got to be some better oversight.

According to what I’m reading the snow is supposed to stop around 7:30 this morning if that’s the case, they should have it cleared up by this afternoon allowing you to get across if you so desire

    nextgentrucker Thanks this.

Use this site to check conditions and whatnot..it will tell you if chains are required or road closure..you can also access the cameras to see the highway conditions as well..
