Trust me I do think about that a lot. That's what I like about driving locally.

####. I never looked into that. I will check it out. I tried the petroleum restoration sector here in the Tallahassee area and it paid a little more than what I was making at the time but it was still under 50k. Bad part was that I laid off because of covid-19.

I saw that with US XPRESS and Cypress. So I learned really quick.

The landtard mook is playing you. LTL experience is class A experience. Tell them to #### off. Landstar op is probably some scummy outfit ripping drivers like most of smaller fly by night deals.

I agree with others, go back to white collar.

Beyond that, probably the most positive Central review I've seen. Ya got lucky. CT is the bottom of the barrel LTL.

It’s not unheard of for OTR companies to require OTR experience.

Of course, but money has a lot more to do with that than experience.

I agree. I've went back and forth with it. I told myself when February comes I will make a decision. As for central I can see it. Our terminal is rough and they don't put any money into it. We don't have electric pallet jacks as well. That's why my joints hurt pulling that heavy stuff.

Not sure about the Regional LTL carriers in that area but the only National LTL i can think of that has electric pallet jacks in R&L.

Maybe another LTL will work you from Local to Linehaul if that’s what you want. OT after 55. That sucks. It was 50. It was after 8 30+ yrs ago when I worked for them. I’m currently working 60+ hrs. at a small Carrier. Mix of local and OTR round trips. No time half at all. Not for much longer. XPO may not have more than 40 hrs per week. I guess it all depends on how much money you need to make. Central usually has plenty work. That’s the only good point they have. They’ll work you to death, literally.

Which you’re required to pay for out of your own pocket. Not really an issue to afford it with how much they pay, but it’s worth noting for the people who will be completely turned off by that on principle.

To me, it’s comparable to a flatbed driver being required to purchase his own straps and tarps, or a van driver being required to purchase his own load locks.
