I remember a guy in Seattle that rented a house, then turned the basement into Airbnb.
Used that money to pay his rent with plenty left over each month.
The liberal court ruled he did nothing wrong.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Goes on all the time a sub- let so to speak of, depends on the wording of the contract which I'm sure the judge would of read the fine print on the lease contract to understand if there was any clause that said no sub - letting. I'm wondering though what the AirBnB management think about the arrangement?Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

I know of a couple of cases where people moved out of their HOA home and turned it into Airbnb. Neighbors reported it and that ended quickly.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

Yes it would be interesting to understand what say a counties/ councils municipal by -laws say about the matter, is there really a difference between a person renting a home, and say someone staying in the same home as an airBnB customer? They may have special zones for such accommodations if not can't understand why it would be any issue.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

AirBnB can be a problem in a peaceful neighborhood. Some of those people are rowdy and don't care how much noise they make or how fast they drive through the neighborhood. That's why HOA's and many condo associations don't allow it.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

Yes a very valid point when it comes to making noise if there were a stack of Air BnB's in the same street that's for sure, hence why most counties or civic councils would have so called designated zones, however one can also still have rowdy neighbors regardless of those bylaws.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.
