I’m familiar with the verse. And I’m familiar with the meaning. I’m also familiar with how often it is misquoted.

Sooo…. No, that’s not the gloss part.

I am also familiar with what is says about ambition. And I don’t know where it says it’s a close second. It talks about selfish ambition, but also talks about godly ambition. Ambition itself is not bad, in fact it can be a good thing. It’s the driving factor of the ambition that can be good or evil.

 

That's an understatement.
