For sure, many of the recipies were inside her head and never written down, many passed down from her mother and grandmother, as well as my father's mother and grandmother. They loved my mom and were eager to share old Hungarian recipies to keep them going. Some good eats in there! Mom's side were Scandanavian and Dutch.

So— I got knotted up at work and when I arrived at the homestead the other half was working up a batch of clam chowder for this evening and the Boys suggested that an hour long rhinoceros search would be better than starting a shop session— I think they and the other half are conspiring against me

Not sure, new owner, many renovations over the summer. My bet is new gas furnace, longtime heating oil supplier, and a not plugged fill neck. That is a hard smell to get rid of. The concrete will just draw it in when a little drier in the winter. The summer would be a little less awful with the concrete being more full of moisture and drawing in less.

I’ll bet that’s what happened. They got an arrangement with the fuel company, changed the furnace, and never told the fuel company.

    Oops.
