Ya, every so often it happens… sitting here now for four hours. I kind of thought I should have shut down and rolled in come morning.

    Update:
    4.5 hour wait
    15 minute load

Ya, if you call breakdown, they will tell you at what temp it’s preferred to run the truck.

I have a copper electric skillet that I use regularly in the truck. When the APU is working. Works great and helps keep the costs down.

If you're not in the truck, like my home time, they would rather you put the APU on battery mode. That way it gets an occasional warm up and lasts more than the 10 hours if you have it on heat. I also run an extension cord from the house to power a small heater so food, etc in the truck doesn't freeze.

If you're in the truck, run it. Even at Fremont over the weekend with the wind and temps in the teens, the apu couldn't provide enough heat to keep it warm. The cab was about 40 and the floor was freezing.
