Everybody here has probably been passed in a bad situation, one futher, I would bet evrybody here has made a pass that they should have waited or maybe should not have passed at all, or pulled out when it was to close, something. Then thet get on here and act all Holy than thou. If you see a accident that involves injuries you should at a minimum call it in.
part of whats wrong with thw world, as well as the attitudes of commerical drivers. The passengers in the car if nothing else should not be held responsible becaiuse of the drivers lack of judgement. You probably are one of those who speeds up when people try to pass you. Hope you son or daughter was not in that situation.
It finally happened to me. Vehicle crashed after trying to overtake me

No real need to call it in anymore because most likely the the wreckie was already on the phone with someone giving a play by play.

Plus, those people create a hazard when they pull over into the shoulder (sometimes hanging out over the white line) to visit the memorial and add more crap to it that will just blow away soon.SmallPackage and 201 Thank this.

I too take the sentimental route, not so much when I was driving, but as an older man, I see things a lot differently now. We, or more accurately, you, as PROFESSIONALS must remember, these people aren't drivers, in fact, driving is probably the hardest thing they do,,and for 20 minutes a day. You just happen to be in that 20 minutes. Trucks are their biggest enemy. Today, everything is so time oriented, and by all means you dasn't miss that Dr. appt. that took 4 months to make, or just plain inexperience. I'm confident their last words are "Oh SHxT". Of course it's gratifying to see these people get "what's coming", and I agree in part, I'm not going to risk MY life or truck for these people, with phones help is a button away. Years ago, I would have stopped, depending on the severity of the situation, but a simple spin out, sorry, bet they won't do that again or at least the very next pay phone. You know, we had a marvelous invention years ago, it was called,,a Citizens Band radio. Even the cops monitored channel 9, and were on it. Please remember, these people aren't faceless nobodies, they are someones kin. Slow down and as tough as it may be,,,let them go. You just might save a life doing so!

Driving is not the hardest thing for them to do. Managing life is. When you run a same route for 25 years you see the same folks doing the same things every morning. Most of them wake up already hating life and the world around them and aint nothing gonna change that. As far as I’m concerned the actions they take around other drivers and trucks are a form of terrorism and an enemy to decent mankind, and they will get no help from me.RockinChair and TripleSix Thank this.

I’ve been of the opinion for a long time now that, a: gas is far too affordable and b: driver’s licenses get handed out far too easily in this country.

I would say, maybe 10 - years or longer, cant remember exactly, I 294 south, outside chicago, right where I 80 ramp going west, An over the road driver , middle lane, had an SUV turned Sideways , on his front bumper, and he was not letting up on the hammer! I saw it comming up on me, i was in the right lane, I freakin kid you not, I have never seen anything like this in my whole career driving. It was a Long nose, I belive, PETE. I mean the SUV was sideways and drivers door was pinned up against the grill. You had to see this, ha ha ha, HE was not letting up. ha ha ha !!!!!!! for the driver in the SUV, i would think that would put you in an Institution, with a straight jacket on, ha ha ha

this was in San Antonio in 2018. Anybody that runs thru on I-35 knows the area. Nowhere to pull over and stop. Gotta push him past the I-37 to I-35 merge. Lol.
