    Howdy fellas,

Wanted to hear other people's ideas for cheapest exhaust stack replacements. I have a 2001 Freightliner classic and I am tired of welding and fixing my stock exhaust stacks. I have found I can order direct from China some 304 stainless 6" stack kits for about $1,300. Takes four months to arrive though. Can get 6" chrome plated steel stacks for $2,200 from Raney's. Probably arrive in a few weeks. I love the China price and the supposedly 304 stainless which should last longer. But I don't really want to wait 4 months lol. What are some ideas or anything I am missing for potentially making my own exhaust? I also don't want some super duper heavy exhaust like schedule 80 pipe or something. I am trying to keep my weight down on my rig with all the spare parts and tools I carry.

    Thanks!

Raney's had them beat for the same kit when factoring in shipping costs.

I’ve seen some of the cheaper stainless kits discolor from the heat. I’d probably go for Best Fit from 4 States if I was needing a set of pipes.

I believe Trux and Best fit was the cheapest kits anyways. Appreciate the feedback!

Things like exhaust isn’t the place to save weight in my opinion. We’re talking 200 lbs at the most

I meant more along the lines of I have seen some guys make them out of super heavy walled steel. Which would be much heavier than standard stainless or chrome plated steel. Apparently people in my area have also been known to use big 8" irrigation pipe. I'm sure that isn't much heavier than the stainless.

No worries man! Wish it was cheaper! Lol but it just isn't. I suppose it should last 15-20 years hopefully.

Id look at Amazon, or even Temu. For local shipped goods.
