So did my phone interview with Melton. Now the waiting game. If I'm accepted will be in orientation on the 19th. Well that's the date we just put for something

Crete/Hunt called me. Just to tell me that their still processing my application. But don't know yet if I'm able to do flatbed based on where I live. I bet they need to figure out if can deal with deadheading home vs where they deliver in Maine.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

As a update. I'm still waiting on Melton and Crete/Hunt to process my application. Crete/Hunt called me and said I can do 30 days out with a customer just over a hour away from me. But I'm unsure about being out that long. Still haven't heard anything from TMC. They could just not be hiring in my area. Might give Prime a call to get info on their flatbed

I can assure you with Melton you’re gonna be doing at least 30 days out as well just because of the area you live in…Hunt has a lot of decent driver friendly freight In regards to flatbed… The vast majority of Hunts freight is machine, machinery, and equipment very little tarping

Actually if I remember what I was told right. Melton would be 2 weeks out. Even though website shows that stops in Massachusetts and I'm in the 3 weeks out area.

Since I haven't heard from them for a couple days. I just called and sounds like still trying to get employment verifications

The first rule of trucking is everybody in the office will lie to you at all times, about anything and everything... At the mega companies you will be out for 4 weeks minimum.. you can bank on it being closer to 8 weeks.. and then get 1 day home for every week out with a cap at 4 or 5 days.

Oh I know that. It's something I will need to wait and see. Especially with winter being winter

Sometimes my backing probably looks like someone new.
Which honestly I had to learn most of my backing. When I got my CDL at crst in 2017. My trainer did all of the backing. Then at Werner months later I had a trainer for a week. He had me back I think once.

Pulling flatbed you don’t have to back up very much. There’s never any docks to bump. Just circle around and leave.
