We hauled one load for them with one pickup and two delivery stops on the same rate confirmation. Our driver arrived on time at the first stop and was detained over three hours. The broker even added detention, confirming the delay wasn’t caused by us.

The broker later argued that the two stops were “separate warehouses” and that the delay at the first location had nothing to do with the second one. That argument makes no sense, since it was one rate confirmation, one load number, and their own scheduling created the issue. A delay at Stop 1 obviously affects Stop 2.

At the second stop, the receiver refused to unload unless a $405 fee was paid. The broker refused to cover it, so we paid it ourselves. After delivery, the broker deducted 15% from the agreed rate without authorization.

We have filed a bond claim and an FMCSA complaint.
Posting this so other carriers know what to expect before accepting loads from them.
