I was overweight on my drive axels after weighing on cat scale. The side of m trailer says tandems can’t be any shorter than the 6th hole in Michigan which is the hole I was in when I weighed and was overweight. I slid them all the way to the front and now my weight is legal but my axels aren’t according to the side of the trailer. All of the weigh stations are closed on my route. What would you guys do in this situation, turn around and have the shipper re load or?

Pre loaded drop and hook. Drove about 30 miles to a cat scale and the only way for me to be weight legal, I had to slide tandems all the way forward.

It’s Sunday in Michigan. No one is going to bother you. Run the load. End of story.

Run it²......if all the weigh stations are closed, what are you worried about? The likelihood of getting nailed for that isn’t all that high. I'd run it even if the scales were open, especially if you have a prepass.

Been through the Sawgrass scales a thousand times with the trailer tandems stuffed all the way forward and never got questioned.

Not going to run around Detroit with them way back..

The sticker is wrong. Michigan used to have a minimum kpra setting, but no longer does.

When did Michigan change their kpra limit?

Came here to say the same, but you beat me to it... MI nice longer has KPRA, as far as I know. And even when they did, I never seen it enforced.

You mis-understand the marking. That’s MAXIMUM kingpin to rear axle. If your tandems are all the forward and you’re legal the hole doesn’t matter.
