i hate being around those little disease carrying youngerns , seems every time i do work at a daycare i get the crud , nasty little cusses.

 

Decent side dumps are bringing a good price. We rent them from Diesel Depot in Aberdeen when we need them. They sell Smithco, and I like that brand better than Side dump industries. Don't have any experience with other brands. Jet trailers look good. We don't have enough work for them to warrant buying. Same for this pup, but for 2 grand with the fees I couldn't really pass it up.

 

@RGN , how many axles do you want? I'll keep my eyes open.

 

No kidding. I have a hard time at those used prices when you can see in the pictures it's going to need $10+k in tires, brakes, and other repairs. Probably should go new (I checked out Diesel Depot) but $134,000-ish with sales tax FET blah blah I just don't want to work that much haha! I'd have to get a slot in the string on the Hwy 95 project and work every day!

 

4 would be optimal, 3 is ok.

 

Guys are buying new trucks and trailers for all the work on I 15. Used to be you cobble something together and hope you make enough to get through winter. They were working long days and 6 days a week. That schedule would get old for me though, would take the fun right out of it.

It is because they spend 6 hours a day in a warm moist petri dish (known as a schoolroom)with 20 or more other disease incubators.

 

I'll lend a clue.. It is not the length of haul for the gravel that he gets the bucks for... It is the way he makes the places shaped to put it..
And the kicker, that Yaller equipment that makes them shapes...
