Plenty of jobs in Texas. I wouldn't worry about abandonment threats.

Them not finding a load is not your problem, its theirs. That should effect you 0% as a driver.. that doesnt mean sitting in a truckstop for 3 weeks... Like i said you want me to sit 3 weeks, put me in a hotel with $300 a day in pay. Otherwise find a load back, or ill find another job...have u not had that conversation with them? Do u not call them at all? Abondonment? They abandoned you without pay.. ill tell em bring it on.. you got bigger problems with this company to treat a driver like they are doing with you. You dont see that? They couldve ate the money in fuel and deadhead u back and been making money by now.
Bro you need to call them and let em know whats going on and whats gonna happen if they dont get you a load, by the end of tomorrow. I wouldve abondoned their pile of junk 2.5 weeks ago. And been working for another outfit for 2 weeks now.

I can't believe a grown adult has to ask a forum what to do in this situation.

Call the boss, get me moving back tomorrow, or I will be leaving the truck where it sits and going home.

I would have walked after 2 days.
If they threaten abandonment then id tell them to pay me as mentioned above $300 a day and a hotel.

Eff all that. I'd have abandoned the sumbeech when it ran out of fuel on my way home, 19 days ago.

Im just trying to protect my perfect license and record as I've seen companies are not required to pay layover time and there can be severe penalties for abandoning the truck

That's definitely my next move but from what I've read companies are not required to pay any layover time thats why I asked what my next move should be without facing any consequences for abandoning this truck that would affect my record

You wouldn’t be the first one to abandon the truck, the company did that a couple weeks ago:rolleyes:
