By fault codes do you mean
SPN: 164, FMI: 4
SID: 6, FMI: 5
SID: 5, FMI: 5
SID: 4, FMI: 5
SID: 155, FMI: 7.
I have a basic scanner. Zurich ZRHD1.
I am trying to find someone local with a more advanced scanner than will read it without having to tow it into a shop. -
The scanning software I use lists DTC followed by a 3 digit mumber. You need the DTC to look up the fault in the navistar manual.
-
I think I understand. By going to the last section and looking at SID and the FMI I believe the injector DTC is 421-426 and the IDM DTC is 543*. Does that look right?

Are you sure you didn't miss a ground off the starter, in the battery box, or on the block/head?
-
I absolutely NOT certain! Lol. Everything was so covered in oil during dissembly that my pictures I took along the way are almost worthless.
-
I have verified the grounds in the battery box, and the ground from the starter to the frame. But I am not aware of a ground on the head or from the block.
-
That looks correct.
There should be a ground cable from the starter negative to the frame and the engine block. -
This morning I cleared all the codes, and ran a ground from the starter to the block. It performed the same. Started and ran for 15-20 seconds and then skipped like three cylinders went out, and then died. The injection pressure and injector codes came back. But not the IDM code.

Were the Injection Pressure Regulator and Injection Pressure Sensor replaced?
