Probably. truck in front on shoulder for the 30 minute break. Truck #2 playing Candy Crush on phone and whoops.

 

Or truck number one pulled out from the shoulder at 5 mph and immediately into the right lane ...bam !!!

 

Have had this happen a couple times, just sitting there and they pull out right when the turn signal goes on, leaving no time to do anything

 

Saw that in person a few days ago up in IA. No signal no nothing. From dead stop right infront of a truck. Truck couldnt get to the left because he was being passed on the left and was already doing only doing 30 in a 70 due to icy conditions.

He had ZERO time to react and right into the back of the rig. He was on the other side of the road so i couldnt stop but a couple of other southbound drivers did stop to help. Didnt see an accident report for a fatal on 61 near otter creek so i think he was fine. But still

 

Yeah there was a fatal last year on 94 just on the other side of Fargo, new Canadian trucker pulled out in front of a guy off the shoulder, since I run 94 and 29 a lot in the area I am always super vigilant about getting my ### over if I see someone on the side of the road, had it happen about a year ago on 94 right by Alexandria and couldn't get over luckily I was empty and not hauling steel but 75 to around 15 makes ya pucker real fast

 

UPDATE: Deadly crashes on I-35 close highway for hours Thursday morning in Bell County

 

Stopped traffic due to highway shut down for accident and driver did not see a sign that said “ la interrupcian el ALTO”
