Yes. Back in early November they let 90% of their staff go and were winding down operations. apparently.

A dozen or so of their trailers can be seen from the road at Ritchie Brothers in Nisku. - VK Delivery (another bankrupt outfit) also has some dry vans staging for auction too.

Was reading on a broker forum that I-Way owners/management have opened another business already. Safe Drive Intermodal - apparently.

I have to wonder…. Vendors can’t be that stupid to extend credit and services to these new companies, can they? It wouldn’t take much to figure it out, and if I was owed money no way would I do anything with them.

RBC leads the way in getting fleeced time and again by trucking companies. Slow learners? $15 million to Falcon and a host of other companies. You’d think the underwriters have been compromised

Not sure how they’re obtaining financing. It is getting harder and harder though. The situation with Pride exposed how sloppy and shady these companies operate. It’s made lenders nervous about having money lent to trucking companies. (Reading that from a few sources).

In many cases involving RBC in the last few years, they’ve been pulling financing from trucking companies which eventually leads to them becoming insolvent then receivership takes place.

They obviously aren’t comfortable loaning money to trucking companies as the once did.

I’m not just talking financing, but fuel, service, tires, dealership work, everything. It would be cash or cc only.

RBC and TD are 100% compromised by the same people. I don't even go to my home branch, or the one by my house anymore (I can't understand them, and they aren't interested in understanding me), I just use the online banking and go to Airdrie branch if I need anything.

If you think they're suckers, Flying J apparently got screwed to the tune of a 100 million in 2024 and 70 million is 2025....by the usual suspects LOL. (I found this out, when I was searching and applying for fuel cards, with the dump outfit that went under).

I have not been in a bank in 20 years
I have Manulife One Acct. Manulife does not have a brick and mortar in my city and all their financial advisors have moved on to other financial institutions.
