Gladly, its called Flo TV ... provided by Qualcomm ... currently the programming is available on 3.5 inch totally portable personal screen .. and coming in Sept ... a 9 inch screen/DVD player.

My unit is arriving in the morning ... I'll let you know more about it then.

Sounds cool, but I checked the coverage map and there is a lot of not covered area. Not even my home area.

Yep, same here, Might be a viable solution in the future, but for now, nowhere near enough coverage.

Well, lets see ... activated it yesterday in Murfressboro, TN (great signal) ....
watched the Cavaliers/Celtics game last night at the KY rest area (mm 60 / I-65) then delivered in Greenwood, IN this morning (again great signal).

So in over 360 miles so far great signal.

Will keep you updated as to additional locations.

    Please do!
Does it have any signal in Canada? Looks like my options are going to take me there more than I first anticipated.

FYI FLO TV do not expect to watch your local shows in current time most shows are from the mobile sight. so lets say tue you stop to watch season final of NCIS well guess what you will watch last weeks episode. you can get flo tv on certain att and vzw telphones. and those get more channels then the mobile version. you cant plug it into a tv or laptop so your stuck with small screen. its a nice concept but u cant beat dish or direct tv.

No one ever said that local programming was available on Flo TV, however Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, ESPN, MTV, Comedy Central, Adult Swim, & Nickelodeon are all simulcast .

Plus sports such as the NBA playoffs, NASCAR, MLB are live.

Verizon & ATT subscriptions to Flo TV offer the same channels as the Flo TV mobile unit.

For those that have Sprint or other cell phone service, otr those folks that do not have a selected phone through Verizon or ATT ... then the Flo TV mobile unit is great.

Plus, as I said in previous posts .... a 9 inch unit, with a built-in DVD player is coming down the road ... in Sept ... for the $199 price w/ 6 months of service. (Yes, last week I saw the prototype ... and was able to talk with Victor Henley, National Sales Manager for Flo TV ... so what I'm sharing with everyone here is the straight scoop.)

Nine inches might b fine for some folks but its still small. If they add a tv out option that would b nice. Having current sports and news is nice but I want my locals current. There are options like sling player u can have connected at home and on your smart phone or laptop.

There will not be a video out on the units because of content licensing agreements. In order for Flo TV to get the content they had to agree to provide it on mobile hardware ... not feed it into the home environment.

SlingBox still has the buffering issues ... and we all know how that sucks. And if you access it via your SmartPhone .. you still have your screen size issues that you complained about.

Flo TV ... no buffering, no data limits like on an aircard, and crystal clear video.

The benefit of NOT having to be tied to your truck (like Dish & DirecTV requires) to access entertainment & news, IMHO, far outweighs any of the perceived negatives.

I'm not trying to sell anyone on it ... but its amazing how many drivers are negative to new technology ... when it solves many of the issues and complaints that drivers currently have regarding TV news & entertainment.
