Does it have a X on the tag?
Could be something a rebuilder did.

    Star Rider Thanks this.

The X means it is an Eaton rebuilt unit. They put the X there so there is no mistaking a rebuild.

Lonesome, Marmon110P and Cdemars316 Thank this.

So we just ran into a snag. The eaton transmission i bought has a bellhousing for a hydraulic clutch. What are the chances that the tranny will bolt up to the meritor bell housing? Or am I gonna be on the hunt for an older eaton bellhousing?

    Call Eaton and ask them.
