VANGUARD or UTILITY?

    I hate the glad hands on Vanguard's.

    Get the Utility.

    Vanguard's, at least ours, have 500 pound hole adjustments on the tandems, the Utility's have 250's.

    You must have been brainwashed by the propaganda that only American made trailers and vehicles are good lol. Just look on the truck stops and see how many companies are using Vanguard trailes, same goes when we talk about tires, every american truck driver owner operator even comapnies they are using off brand tires. That being said, I have 2007 Vanguard trailer and now is 2027 and still rolling and just purchased two 2027 and love them not saying that they are better than Utility but it does the same job as Utility. And no , 10 years old Stoughton is never better then Vanguard, that is only in your dreams! Have a good day!

    Our Vanguards are junk. I use Goodyear drives and Bridgestone steers.

    Michelin steers, ran Bridgestone 726s for a while, have Toyos now, I like them, kumhos on my old trailer, which is about as low of a teir as I will go

    I priced all 3 last year like for like, 53’, closed tandem, stainless, flat floor, GD was about 130k all said and done, vanguard was 109k, and utility was 113k.

    utility had disks, inflation, and Michelins on it, vanguard had drums, yokos, no inflation,

    I was rather unhappy with my first utility, it’s a 2010, and I’ve done lots of welding on the floor, when it got totaled, I bought a hound with an independent sliding axle spread, while I like the doors sealing better, it was just starting with wall issues, where that was due to axles or not I don’t know, but I dumped it and fixed my utility when I bought my new one

    I was all set to try the vanguard but ended up with another utility just for the way it was optioned, and you can always sell a closed tandem utility or GD, and it’s not like the floor issues weren’t my own fault for the, well, let’s just call them chunky loads that I was stuffing in there

    if you really want to party, I did talk to a sales guy about 54’ Great Dane with a dual temp, 12’ spread, color matched, was about 170k,
