Lol yup how's Miss Judy? That school is a mess but just ignore the ######## and get the CDL. Strimbu isn't bad but they'll work you to death and make sure your paychecks are right. I've had trouble with my paychecks and veteran drivers who have been there for 5 plus years have had trouble every pay. It's a good company they have a great training program but it is not a forever trucking company. Tell Miss Judy I said hey also Thomas in the yard He's a cool guy too and Papa c And John and Miss Hattie all great teachers. Focus on yourself and you'll get the license. I would probably go with total distribution Inc I went to high school with the family here in Canton they went to Perry high School they're a good family it's locally owned like strimbu but it might be closer to where you live like my issue was. An hour and 20 minutes from home to then go drive 8 to 10 hours is a lot. So even if you need to find something closer there's tons of jobs hiring people with felons don't even stress it like I was really stressing it until I saw the need for truckersaustinmike Thanks this.

Yeah, dude! Theyre all still here lol. I’m in the night class. Definitely a hot mess some of the time. But I only have 3 days of class left haha. But that’s good to hear! I’ve been stressing like crazy, especially since my most recent conviction was a felony domestic from 2023. I might look into total distribution though!
-
I have 2 domestic felonies and 2 felony obstruction charges. Wouldn't stress it my last case was in 2021 I graduated hamrick in Aug of 2025. You'll be fine swift warner and Maverick won't hire us but those aren't the companies you want to work for anywayaustinmike Thanks this.

Right on. How was the training program at Strimbu? They are union right?
-
They're union after like 4 months you're there. So you don't get that minimum pay until you pass the 6 week training then it's 60 days after you get your truck so total time it's like 4 and a half months before you get into the union. Tom Banks a t strimbu makes the job look good but there's a lot of ######## with their company. Training was good for the most part there's some trainers there that will also tell you to do some stuff but listen to yourself because if something happens remember you are responsible since you're behind the wheelaustinmike Thanks this.
-
Gotcha. How was the pay throughout the training period? And what was the minimum pay approximately?
-
Pay thru training is $150 a day. Not bad pretty good compared to TMC and other bug names. Minimum weekly is 1200 and some change. But if the dispatchers don't get you enough loads (I was flatbed) then you won't get union minimum. Not saying don't try them but there's so many better companies in Stark county summit county then all the way on the Ohio Pennsylvania border. My opinion if you're not living 10 to 20 mins from Wheatland Pennsylvania that drive to go drive 8 to 10 hrs a day for the ######## you have to put up with management and their dispatchers. Just saying Logan is 5 miles from my house pays a percentage of load. Also look at Greenlines transportation if you're interested in flatbed.

They are union after 4 months? This doesn't make sense to me? What union is it?
-
I forget a local one in Pennsylvania it's not even in Ohio. Also strangely enough I spoke with Hattie today
