I delivered and picked up in South Dakota yesterday. I woke up yesterday morning and it was -16 degrees. I dumped a load of salt at a d.o.t shed. Dumped a load of Rock the day before in Kansas which froze up some. That kinda sucked a bit. So yeah we won't be hauling anymore Rock till spring. Anyway it was terrible cold in South Dakota. I was prepared though. Got thermals and coveralls with me. Still they can keep that mess as far as I'm concerned. Up in Michigan now for Monday delivery. It's only 5 degrees here. Soon as I get over to Minnesota and deliver I'm gonna go through the trailer shop and get a couple things fixed. Then I'm gonna see if I can head back south where it'll be warmer. We're getting some of that winter storm down home right now though so it's rather cold for our place today an tomorrow. Hope it's not too bad where you are yet.

Man.......I'm in Etna, OH now. I'm headed back from New Jersey with a load of grapes. Delivers at the ever familiar Aldi in O'Fallon. I just parked because I am out of time. I'm low on my 70 and caught in a big time snowstorm. I told them when they put this on me that I would do good just to get it delivered tomorrow night lol. It's a 1 am delivery appt tomorrow night. I got a little under 4 hrs left so I'll take off 8 or 9....if I can get out. It's gonna be about ½ a foot of snow that falls here. It's like 10 here and windy. I know you're up there in those states freezing like hell.... I think I've had enough winter lolProfessor No-Name and Peace_Maker Thank this.

I'm sitting in Effingham kinda in the same boat. Short on hours and dealing with frozen white stuff falling from the sky. I'm headed back to Edwardsville from Palmyra.Friend and bryan21384 Thank this.

Ahhhhh you're close to delivery at least. This dispatch team is going to squeeze every second out of these clocks. Squeeze em til they fart lol. We are all earning our cash this weekend. I did swing by a Rutters to grab some tacos.....that HAD to happen lol. That was soothing in terms of gearing up for the stormPeace_Maker Thanks this.

Well....they told me to take the rest of the day off. Aldi isnt opening tonight so I'll get a much needed 34. State of Ohio has a travel ban so I can't go anywhere even if I wanted to. Got quite a few trucks stuck over here at the Love's.
Friend, Peace_Maker and Lonesome Thank this. -
You were definitely lucky to be able to find a parking spot at that Love's. It's notorious for being full up.Lonesome, FullMetalJacket and bryan21384 Thank this.

You can say that again. I actually didn't get much sleep last night. I sat in the fuel island til a spot came free. I knew I wasnt going anywhere til tonight at the earliest. I kept having to circle around so they could plow. 2 spots came open, and... JACKPOT! lolKnucklehead, Friend, hotrod1653 and 4 others Thank this.
