Im betting thats out of an rv/bus that is built on a Frieghtliner chassis. Those were the only 320-350hp 3126’s that i know of built as a truck engine.

That truck has/had a 7.3idi???
That cat should fit nicely in it with minimal physical problems.
With a manual transmission electrical problems should be minimal.
A dt466 would be easier though as you could get it in that truck new….if you’re after power and not concerned about engine life the dt will make more power for less $$Oxbow Thanks this. -
Assuming you were thinking he was going to put it in a pickup….it’s been done before….there’s pictures to prove it…. I started but never finished one about 10 years ago. It seemed to be on track to work with some headaches but I decided my time was better spent on other things and actually sold it unfinished…i have no idea how it turned out or what ended up happening with itDiesel Dave and Oxbow Thank this.

I wasn't saying it can't be done, anything can be done with enough stubbornness and $$$. That's why I also mentioned a dt466 earlier.
With a dt or another 7.3 all the little stuff, rad hoses, harnesses, TPS, CAC hoses, mounts, etc. can be had off the shelf.
With the 3126 not so much.Last edited: Jan 30, 2026
