Telling the recruiters stuff over the phone means absolutely nothing. I had to go back and read this thread again because I couldn't remember the context of this thread, it had been some time since it seen activity. The question is how much time had passed since you had the OWI. If it was less than their required time lapsed from the charge, that's probably what got you termed. By law, a company can't touch a driver for a minimum of 3 years from the date of a drug or alcohol event. If its a charge, I want to say 3 years minimum from the conviction date. Some companies will hire a driver after the 3 years. Others are 5, 7, 10, or a lifetime ban. I actually think Western wants 10 years from the time of the event. I think the recruiters just said you lied because they were talking from their ###, but I really feel like your OWI is the bigger albatross.
