Every person needs to do what they feel is right for them. After careful consideration and many hours of research on this site and the internet in general, I am choosing to go with Schneider and will be in orientation next Saturday. I had seven pre-hires and felt they (Schneider) gave me the best offer for my situation. You need to determine what expectations you have from a company and which company best fits what you want from driving a truck.

    Good luck.

Been here going on three years, and I don't have any serious complaints (I don't count the nit-picking we all do as drivers).

I get decent miles, my checks have always been accurate, I never have to ask for detention/accessorial pay (it's always in there), and I get home when I'm supposed to. I have a good relationship with my DBL, two weeks vacation each year...so all in all, it's not bad. Are there things I'd change? Of course....I'm a driver, so part of my job description is to whine and moan, isn't it? :biggrin_2559: But sweating it because you can't reinvent the wheel is silly. I know, 'cuz I spent most of my first 40 years on this planet doing just that.

    Good luck to you, driver!

Do you have any facts with which you care to back up your blanket statement?

You can stay away if you want, but not everyone's situation is the same.

4 of the 5 schools I called when I was looking to start said to stay away from them and Werner. As we spoke and I mentioned I had prehires from 7 companies they said from my list in no particular order that Watkins and Shepard, May, Stevens, US Xpress and Cargo Express were the ones they would recommend. I personally like Schneider they were at the top of my list, I wanted to go to their school before I found out it was discontinued.

I have to agree with big cove and packard. I've only been there 1 1/2 years. I've been with three other companies. CFI was my first, and they weren't bad, the other two I don't care to mention:biggrin_25513:. Was never really comfortable with either.
It's what you make of it, bad attitude=bad time, usually. Good attitude=good time, usually. I like to think I've been treated very well here. And, like packard, I've NEVER had to fight tooth and nail for what I've had coming. I don't even have to remind anyone for detention, multiple stops or anything. It doesn't magically appear, SNI really does stay on top of things.

You could do a whole lot worse. Been there, done that.:biggrin_25525:

Schneider is a well run ship compared to many of the others out there. They have a good computer system that makes sure that you get paid. Also, they dont retaliate against you like companies like Werner and Swift when you go to quit.
