Toyota doesn’t have the issues with substandard brokered out freight haulers like GM is currently experiencing. The carriers who haul for Toyota receive excellent pay to haul for them and they know they better not broker out loads to some flip flop wearing 3 car wedge drivers who will tear up every other car and piss off every single dealer or they will loose those contracts. Eventually GM will lay the law down forbidding their contracted carriers from brokering out loads to substandard haulers.

I get it. I know it's specialized. It wouldn't be an overnight thing it would most certainly take a lot of time, patience and money to build out. There'd have to be strict standards and accountability, the kind that most drivers don't want to deal with, unless they're being paid well.

They scrapped the idea of owning their private fleet years ago. The idea was replaced with the dedicated program. They helped companies purchase assets to run exclusively for GM.
