to be completely fair, it's looked like that forever. Only thing that usually changed was the empty and loaded linesFriend Thanks this.

My Uncle lived in Lincoln about 20 years ago. From what I've heard, he liked it there, and it was a short 3 hour drive back to family in Kansas. His wife worked at Kellogg's though so they moved to Battle Creek, MI where their main office is located and have been there ever since.
I personally like Lincoln. But I wouldn't want to live there. Too big of a town, and a college town to bootMidWest_MacDaddy and Friend Thank this. -
I imagine when you’re in the safety department at a company of any size there comes a point when you dread logging in to your computer in the morning.
Lincoln is…..Lincoln. I can take it or leave it. I don’t like how long it takes to get across town. Lately I’ve been going to Hastings or Grand Island for my shopping.MidWest_MacDaddy, rokue, runningman0661 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Let's take a moment to imagine a "what if" scenario. What if some of the unusual things we've seen in Fremont over the last couple months are indicative of a major problem, one that could bring the Future Crete Carriers scenario from the future to the present.
What other companies in the area have the same qualities as FCC has had: good equipment, treating drivers well, area terminals, good insurance benefits, local/regional/OTR options with varying home time, etc?Friend Thanks this. -
No carrier large enough to buy FCC out would treat the drivers like FCC does. That's the advantage of working for a company the size of FCC, they're still small enough to still give a crap about their drivers. If they were to be merged in with a larger company then the drivers would instantly turn into a truck number and become just expendable meat in the seat. Hope recent events are just an adjustment to keep FCC going strong because they are one of the few remaining carriers that had the testicular fortitude to do business in a driver friendly way.Last edited: Feb 15, 2026
Friend, MidWest_MacDaddy, rokue and 3 others Thank this. -
Ok, but what about carriers other than ones that would buy out FCC?Friend and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

Honestly, I am probably the last person on the forum to ask about that. I have a knack for finding companies that are either in talks to be bought or have been bought but haven't announced they're merging with a mega. So then I return to work for a former mega because I am either a glutton for punishment or forgot why I left them to start with.(As in Crete/Shaffer)Friend, hope not dumb twucker, M22 rockcrusher and 1 other person Thank this.
