Should I listen to the people who made level headed posts (encouraging or not) or the guy insulting me right off the bat unprovoked? Hmm

Hey man, just FYI, you need a thicker skin than that to make it in this industry. I have been screamed at for waiting at the gate because the loader doesn't have all ####ing night and then also for pulling in where the other trucks were because WHO TOLD YOU COME IN HERE WHATS THE MATTER WITH YOU. You can't win, and you will just have to deal with it or they complain to your company and you lose.

I don't work for or with that guy though. He's just some random with a keyboard and an ego problem

Many security guards also yell at truck drivers. And many shipping/receiving clerks like to yell at truck drivers. Now, you can reduce the amount of yelling coming your way by reading all signs on the property and have all of your paperwork in order and with a good attitude. BUT some security guards and clerks yell at everyone and you just have to deal with it. Security guards and clerks also reject drivers and loads and they will for personal reasons and that's not good for your career.

You should take your cries for attention somewhere else is what you should do.

Hang in there! Even if you go a different route there’s nothing wrong with that! Plenty of good jobs that dont involve big rigs Trucking isn’t for everyone!

I asked for advice, and took accountability for failing. You made up some boogeyman that I was blaming the curb for failing and made a useless insulting post about it after the thread had already petered out. Who is trying to get attention here?

I’m a little surprised nobody seems to have a good answer. The way I was trained, is you need 4 lanes to make a right turn. I think they said 3 lanes if rounded corner. You count the lane your in as 1 lane and would need 3 or 2 lanes to turn right onto. You look at the turns and lanes as you get closer to your turn.

You are looking to see if the right turns before your turn have 3 or 2 lanes available to run onto. If not you need to SPIT the lanes at your turn. You move to the left and SPLIT lanes and take both lanes but you need to make sure cars don’t try and pass you on right. So you can’t move left so far they try pass you on right.

If you split the lanes you should have enough room to make right turn without curbing the trailer.
