telnol437 nailed it that was my expierence with the dispatch also except i was a newbie so i was getting 2800 to 3500 miles a week even got a 4200 once but i learned to keep it to myself cuase i quickly realized that most drivers were sitting alot more than i was. I do not drive for them now and would not go back knowing what i know now but as a newbie I got lucky got in, learned the trade, and got out of srt without getting burned

I've never worked for either one of them but, i did meet a covenant student driver stranded at a truck stop once. He told me that he had just graduated from their school but that they wouldn't hire him. ?HUH? Yep he showed me his cirtificate showing me that he graduated from their school but he said when it was over covenant told him he didn't qualify to drive for e'm....go figure. This was quite a few years ago though.

They are a good company. I always inquired about SRT throughout my career, I've been driving 12 years and I've never heard anything bad about them. I just recently put in an app with SRT and they gave me a cal. They are very professional and polite and I see there trucks running, not sitting in the truckstop. If I were you I would go with SRT, do the hours of training and push on Truck Driver!

Bull ### spoken from REAL rexperience....mine.
You haven't spoken with the 100's of former drivers. Their turnover rate is 3 times the national industry rate.
That's because 60% of the fleet is sitting idle...in their yard.
Spoken with the true voice of inexperience....

Some drivers are never satisfied with any company. Go with ur gut and it might be the right fit for you, forget what other drivers say!:biggrin_25514:

I was in orientation for them a few weeks ago. Yes they are owned by Covenant but the office staff are very adament that they work for SRT, not Covenant. They do not have Prepass in their trucks but you can rent one through them for $3/week. Tires below 100psi? $100 fine, payroll deducted. Drop an empty trailer without getting it washed out first? You're charged the washout, payroll deducted. You get put up at a decent hotel, though you share a room with another driver. Lunch is provided at orientation and it's quite good. For dinner you're given a voucher for one of two nearby restaurants (near the hotel). From what I gather with talking to some other SRT drivers, their main complaint is the mechanic shop being quite slow. So any time you drive by their terminal, figure half the trucks you see are empty/not assigned, the other half are waiting on shop repairs.
