You get your own room no sharing in Marshfield. There is two beds in each room though, and the rooms are pretty decent, if you were coming to stay at the hotel for a night and had nothing to do with Roehl, the hotel charges $119.00 a night for one person. So when you think bout it your getting a pretty darn good deal having to only pay $375 for 21 days.

Backs (45/90) - That is what is on the CDL test. We did some offsets and some close quarters stuff but mostly just the first two.
Not too many hills in Marshfield but we did practice with the jake a couple of times.
They teach DC in school and use it throughout the course.

First couple of days are classroom and then out on a dirt range, after that you are usually driving around town and some back roads or practicing backing for about 6.5-7 hours a day with about 3 hours classroom.

How does the school run? Do they do things on Saturdays? Its a haul for me to go home, but I am hoping to get here for Father's Day weekend at least. If that is permitted.

I'm not trying to skip out on training, but thinking that a trip home would be great. just curious if I'd be able to leave on Friday or have to stay till Saturday afternoon?
Also do you need your permit before you get there? Thanks for the help. I should be getting the paperwork packet soon.

You'll need your permit. Classes are on Saturday but the first Saturday is practicing on pre trip inspection stuff and you get to leave around 12 if you want to that day. The next Saturday is a full day of backing/close quarters stuff.
