This guy is parked facing on coming traffic on a 55mph road with his truck and trailer slightly sticking out into the lane of travel.
These roads are icy due to snow/rain with temps below 30, and hes on a soft shoulder.
Should I have called local PD? I opt to yell at the dunce finally getting him to move after some yappin
genuinely curious, how we truckers feel about this incident.

Yell? Really? Seems reactionary in a negative way. I personally would have checked on him and seen if he needed help. Chances are the local PD would have done the same.
201 Thanks this. -
I did check up on him, unfortunately it was his reasoning that caused the yelling.
He did not see anything wrong with parking partially in the lane of travel on the wrong side of a 55mph icy road at night
His reasoning was to precool his trailer, having shown up to a frozen facility at +30Last edited: Mar 19, 2026 at 4:59 AM

Oh..........you should have lead with that. Context is key. I still wouldn't have yelled though. I would have just told him where he could park safely to do such. I gotta save that kind of energy for when I really need it.TripleSix Thanks this.
