    This is the way to go here. If you have family in a more freight friendly area, use their address to get hired. That's just to get in the door. Once you're experienced, preferably 1 or 2 years, you'll have more options. .

    My previous experience with similar circumstances suggests that you will have a tough time finding a carrier willing to take you on ---> with NO previous work history over at least the last several years.

    Most carriers will likely view that as a RED FLAG. :(

    Driving a big rig on a professional level requires a very good work ethic -- even if you stick with dry van duty. But with no recent work history -- they have no real track record with which to evaluate you as a potentially worthy candidate.

    This is especially true now -- given how flabby the current overall freight market really is.

    Later on....if no one else gives you a chance -- try Schneider.

    Since you are in very southern FL -- they may (or may not) hire you as "jet set" drivers:
