This is the way to go here. If you have family in a more freight friendly area, use their address to get hired. That's just to get in the door. Once you're experienced, preferably 1 or 2 years, you'll have more options. .

My previous experience with similar circumstances suggests that you will have a tough time finding a carrier willing to take you on ---> with NO previous work history over at least the last several years.

Most carriers will likely view that as a RED FLAG. :(

Driving a big rig on a professional level requires a very good work ethic -- even if you stick with dry van duty. But with no recent work history -- they have no real track record with which to evaluate you as a potentially worthy candidate.

This is especially true now -- given how flabby the current overall freight market really is.

Later on....if no one else gives you a chance -- try Schneider.

Since you are in very southern FL -- they may (or may not) hire you as "jet set" drivers:

Schneider expands Jet-Set driving jobs, adds new driver perk

The people at your school will have some job ideas for you. Especially if they get a referral commission.

I'm not telling you to do this this, but lying about work history is probably not going to hurt you, only help. It is what it is. Amazon Warehouse is an easy one. Only a few companies will actually verify employment that didn't have anything to do with driving. They just need to be able to check a box on screen on your 5 minute phone call interview.

Also using the texas escapees address will make your life so much easier.

Again not telling you to do this, but my buddy told the company he was moving to a better hiring area, from SoFlo. He got hired and then proceeded to drive for them for 6 months to get experience. He never changed his license. This was riskier, but it worked fine for him.
