Thanks, I will ask about getting the message sent again. Not being able to use the FL turnpike is going to add time to some Florida loads.

    Friend and Tanker_82 Thank this.

Personally, I don’t use the Florida turnpike enough for it to be that big of an inconvenience. I’m usually just looping around Orlando to avoid traffic or leaving the yard empty and getting to I-75 to avoid some stop lights when I’m on it. The stop lights aren’t that big of a deal with an empty tank, though. I only pass through Denver once or twice a year.

I did use the I-66 Express lane for that 25 mile stretch on the way into and out of DC when I was doing Laurel regularly, but after receiving the message last week I stayed out of it to avoid slapping the company in the face.

    Redtwin Thanks this.

The contacts in my window switch stopped working yesterday. It would roll the window down, but I couldn’t get it to roll back up. I’ve had to replace the switch in most of the trucks that I’ve had. I blow the nooks and crannies out with my air nozzle regularly to help keep the contacts clean, but they eventually fail over time.

If you’re in a 116 series Peterbilt and find yourself in a position where you can’t get the driver’s side window back up, the passenger side switch is interchangeable. You obviously won’t have mirror controls, but if you’re away from the terminal and need to get the window back up, the harness will plug in and it will operate the driver’s window. Just figured I’d throw the info out there.

Buy a can of CRC contact cleaner spray. Pull the switch out and douse the contacts. Works very well on my Coronado.

Did my first milk load last week from MD to AL. Bounced me back to Bensalem and got a juice load from Wilmington. Going onto the port was easier than I thought it would be with my TWIC. Got caught in that blizzard in Wisconsin which slowed me down and ate up my 70. Ran out of hours in Missoula. Taking a 34 at the Love’s here.

Did you have to pay to get in?. Next time you are at Bensalem ask for a barcode for the port. The port workers just scan the barcode and the entry fees get charged straight to Indian River.

    JForce28 Thanks this.
