Yes. The driver is the one who is ultimately responsible for making sure they are safe and legal. If they are unable to do that then they shouldn't be hauling the load.

The point I was making is Driver didn't load it.
Should driver get the stick out and check it, absolutely.

I just get tired of all the piling on, everything is Drivers fault.
Back in the day - Truckers were like Cowboys, American Heroes.

 

How do you know the driver didn’t load it? I load probably 98% of my loads. And I will add that he is untrained and unqualified to be hauling equipment

So, you’re saying if you pull into a customer and they load a machine on your trailer, they should get the stick out and measure the height and tell you if it’s over height or not?

makes sense to me

the driver is responsible for getting the load safely from point A to point B, not the shipper!

 

Back when I did oversize I could just eyeball it and be good. I mean I never hit any bridges so it worked. Ok I’m kidding.

 

The same way the rest of us did. Get in the machine and start pushing buttons and pulling levers until something happens. I'd say ask someone for help but chances are he can't speak English.

Image quality is #### so hard to see his tiedowns but it sure looks like at least 4 points and 1 over the bucket.

What about the axles? They look like normal placement for a 53ft spread axle step deck.

 

Go pick up a new doosan. Fresh off the boat and the control panel is in Korean. Somehow I still figure out how to get it loaded.
